Using broken glass bottles from the artist’s day job (on the bottling line of a local whiskey distillery), this work allows space for imagination and transportation from daily labor. Daydreaming, the movement of the refractions and reflections of light warped through the glass contradict the expected rhythms of blue collar production. By distorting the whiskey bottle, the vessel becomes the subject. This slow form video work is interjected with hand-drawn animations. This work is in progress, as the element of sound collection to accompany the video remains ongoing.
